We are volunteers living out God's call to love people.  Specifically, we are loving kids in our community by providing to some who are struggling to meet a very basic need - finding food to eat.
We need volunteers to help with many tasks and projects at GO Pantry. In fact, one of our dreams is to build more disciples in the community that can further our mission to fill tummies. Our community is filled with good people that want to help.  We have a place for you!  Here are some different ways you and your team can help today:
  • Organize a food drive
  • Donate much needed food items
  • Check GO Pantry FB page for ongoing volunteer opportunities
Some people are just do-ers!  GO Pantry distributed 1,300 GO Boxes to local kids this summer. Luke Erickson and Patty Bracken were the backbone of the project. Patty is detail-oriented and efficient. She works hard to see that every GO Box is packed to standard with as much kid-friendly food as possible. Luke has given endless hours to help us manage warehouse events. This guy has serious forklift skills and giant-sized commitment. This type of volunteer support has allowed GO Pantry to double in size and help over 225 families get through the summer. Both Luke and Patty work behind the scenes and expect no accolades for their efforts. Both of these heroes would encourage you to take your talents, whatever they are, and plug in to help where you can.
The main source of food used in GO BAGS and GO BOXES has been local food drives. These drives are hosted at local companies, churches, civic & neighborhood groups, and throughout Boone County schools.  The food drives are important for both food collection and raising community awareness.

When the drive model reached capacity, God provided corporate sponsors to fuel our efforts and feed more kids. GO Pantry is truly a community progect.

We are continually surprised and humbled by all of the support GO Pantry receives from volunteers and community partners giving their time and financial support.  Together we are making a difference in the lives of local kids! Here is just a  sample of the schools, churches and companies that have  joined with GO Pantry to provide weekly food for kids that really need the extra help.

Contact us anytime if you or your company would like to brainstorm about ways you can help.  We can work together to create a serve project that works for your group.
